How many years and months have passed since then…
The thrill of racing with friends through dust and dirt on that trail.
The riders who love Grandpa Mountain have long awaited this moment, and now it has finally returned.
After five long years, Grandpa Mountain is coming back under the Enduro freaks.
“Grandpa Mountain Free Ride 2025”
Revived on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at a special venue!
Looking ahead to events beyond next year,
this time it will be in the form of a freeride.
The difficulty level of the race section allows even beginners to enjoy, since it can also be run with a big off-roader.

The woods and barren areas will have some challenging spots, but the rains provide possibilities that weren’t there in race form.
For those who love hill climbs and hard tracks,
newly opened areas are available.
- Date and Time: Saturday, October 11, 2025
- Location: Nagano Prefecture, Omachi City, Grandpa Mountain Ski Area Special Venue
- Entry Fee: 12,000 yen (tax included 13,200 yen)
On the day, enjoy a Grandpa Mountain lunch & dulcet.
【Course Overview】
The running area is divided into the following three zones:
1: Glen Zone (Yellow frame)
2: Forest Exploration Zone (Yellow frame)
3: Guerrilla Attack Zone (Orange frame)
1: Glen Zone
This is the Glen section of the ski area.
With relatively easy paths, beginners can ride without difficulty.
The climb is planned as a straight ascent, and the descent will have adjustments to drop speed.
Riders can open the machine’s potential while checking the conditions of other riders.
Note: As this will be used as a winter ski area, please ride on FIM-approved tires (with knobs less than 13mm high) to avoid damaging the road.
When running in the Glen Zone with high-knob MX tires or similar, an additional road repair fee (tax included 1,650 yen) will be collected at reception.
2: Forest Exploration Zone
This area has a lot of variety with standing trees, stairs, cambers, and rough sections. The difficulty varies significantly, so please always ride with at least two people.
There’s no tire restriction when riding here.
3: Guerrilla Attack Zone
Rocky climbs dominate this main area. The difficulty is very high, so inexperienced riders may not reach the top (there are exits), but the view after the climb is unbeatable.
Falls can result in significant damage to both the machine and the rider, so please ride with great care. There’s no tire restriction here either.

■ Participation Guidelines
• The venue is broadly divided into the Glen part and the Woods part.
Some areas in the Glen part contain buried wires and pipes,
so large groups could damage these facilities, impacting winter ski area operations.
Instructions on restricted entry areas will be provided on the day, but when riding the Glen section, please be mindful to avoid any unnecessary erosion.
• Participants
Those who love off-road bikes and are healthy enough to withstand off-road riding are eligible.
While skill level is not questioned, the primary target is individuals capable of riding off-road solo.
Minors may participate as long as a supervising adult files the application and accompanies them.
Off-road riding itself involves danger, so
in addition to appropriate equipment for off-road riding,
we request that you participate with necessary injury insurance.
Damages, injuries, or fatalities incurred from riding
are not the responsibility of the organizers or course managers, nor will they hold other participants responsible.
If you intend to seek liability, please refrain from participating.
Participation is not allowed for those associated with antisocial groups.
• Vehicles
Any bike capable of off-road riding is acceptable,
but vehicles in poor maintenance condition or significantly noisy are requested to withdraw from participation.
• Tires
To protect the roads, we request participation with FIM or Trial tires as much as possible.
Participation with MX or Gummy tires is possible,
but if you wish to ride the Glen section with such tires, an additional road repair fee (tax included 1,650 yen)
will be collected.
For the Woods section, any type of tire is permissible, and no additional charge is required.
• Equipment
Equipments that do not obstruct off-road riding
• Injury Insurance
We request that individuals join the necessary injury insurance
or enroll in our sports safety insurance.
